The sun is out and so are Reception. Lots of fun and learning in our wonderful outdoor area. 
 

Class 2 have started their final DT unit of the year today with a little bit of baking! They will be exploring seasonal food and taking part in making many delicious baking tasks along the way. What an exciting unit! 
 

Year one had great fun starting their maths learning with a counting song and dance. They then used this to help them count in tens and ones with numbers up to 50! Very impressive. Well done year 1!

Class 1 have enjoyed the spring weather today with lots of outdoor learning through play. They have also enjoyed learning about farms and farm animals.
 

What a fantastic week class 1 have had exploring the book ‘Whatever next!’ They have explored the lovely story, created a class rocket and made their own cardboard box creations just like Bear did in the story.  Such a busy but fun week!

As part of our learning about Chinese new year, one of our friends brought in some yummy chinese treats for us to try. Thank you to you and your family for sharing these with us. 
 

Year 1 and 2 had great fun classifying animals. They brought in a stuffed animal from home and began by thinking about the animals characteristics of their animal. They then learnt about the different groups that animals belong to and sorted them into groups. Year 2 had an extra challenge to sort…

Class 2 have been learning to import sounds and have started to plan their podcast ready to share with the school next week. They can’t wait! 
 

Class 2 have enjoyed their PE unit focusing on health related fitness. They have completed a fitness test each week trying to beat their previous score. Great work getting your pulse rates higher children. We even finished off with a little meditation. 
 

Year 1 have had a great week exploring using using number bonds to add within 20. Great work children. 
 

Reception have had a busy week of learning! They’ve enjoyed so many fun lessons from music to science, and not forgetting handwriting practise! Another incredible week! Well done children.
