Safe and Sound
Year 5 had a great time at the fire station on Thursday. They learned how to stay safe in the home, near water and out in the environment plus how to be responsible citizens.
Greater than, less than or equal to
Year 1 have continued their place value unit in maths by thinking about comparing numbers. They have used the terms greater than, less than and equal to as well as using the correct symbols to show this. Well done children.
Super duper you!
Reception have had a super week thinking about what makes them “Super Duper!”
They have learnt four sounds in phonics, showed great team work sorting objects and have even started to try to write some initial sounds. Wow!
Measuring light reflection in science
Today we used lux metres to calculate how much light was reflected off different materials. We used our knowledge of the properties of materials to create scientific predictions and then test our theories.

Colourful fun!
Reception have had a wonderful week of colour! They have loved hearing the story ‘The colour monster goes to school’, exploring emotions and the colours associated with the emotions. They have started their phonics journey and have met some of the colour monsters who live in Monster Phonics land.…
